Our jobactive program helps you find employment

Working with you in a friendly and flexible way, Jobfind’s jobactive program can give you a competitive edge.

jobactive services are usually available to you if you get an income support payment that has mutual obligation requirements, such as Jobseeker, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment. Mutual obligations are things you need to do in return for your payment, like look for work.

You can choose Jobfind as your Australian Government jobactive employment services provider, directly with Centrelink. You can also transfer to Jobfind from another provider.

Get started

When you join Jobfind we’ll connect you with a consultant best suited to support your employment journey.

You and your employment consultant will meet face-to-face in the JobFind office closest to you.
In this meeting you will discuss your skills, experience and the kind of work you’re looking for.
Together, you will create a Job Plan that identifies employment opportunities.
You might also talk about additional activities such as training or short-term work experience to help get you into the workforce faster.
Your consultant will usually be able to refer you to opportunities available immediately in your area.

Extra support

Our jobactive team works closely with government and community organisations as well as partner employers to provide additional assistance when required.

We can provide extra support if you are:

of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background
from an ethnic community, or a refugee
homeless
a mature-age job seeker
a parent with principal care responsibility
someone with a disability, Illness or Injury
a young person.

First Nations job seekers

Jobfind offers a unique support service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.  This includes access to our Indigenous Employment Officer, who can provide individual support, access to designated First Nations vacancies, employer advocacy and referral to First Nations organisations for further community support.

Supporting you after you’ve got the job

Some people quickly settle into a new job and work environment. Others may find they need support to adjust. Once you start work, your personal employment consultant stays in touch to provide advice and support to maintain your employment.

Our Service Delivery Plan

Jobfind’s Service Delivery Plan for Job Seekers explains the particular services you can expect from your team at Jobfind. Service Delivery Plans are displayed at all our offices and are available to job seekers.
