Salvation Army Cheque

Today, on behalf of Jobfind, Chelsie Hyland, GM Employment Services and Joe Abdo, Regional Manager, presented a cheque of $10k to Jayne Campbell from the Salvation Army.

These funds were donated due to a pledge we made with our 1000 jobs for Christmas Campaign. We were on a mission to place 1000 job seekers into work before Christmas and pledged to donate $10 000 to the Salvation Army Christmas appeal if we achieved our goal.

Jobfind not only reached but exceeded the target of placing 1000 people into jobs across Australia by placing a whopping 1500 job seekers into employment by January! Jobfind works with some of Australia’s most disadvantaged people to give them (and their families) the greatest gift of all: a job. We depend on strong connections with our local communities and wanted to give something back at this special time.

Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration, but if times are tough it can be especially challenging and isolating. Every year, the Salvos gives hope to individuals and families in need by providing food hampers and gifts. Hampers are prepared with care using donated goods and shared with those in the community who simply need a helping hand during the Christmas season.

These donations enable Salvation Army to continue their work in providing shelter, gifts for kids who will otherwise get none and hampers for those struggling with basic meals. These donations really do give hope where it is needed the most.

We thank everyone for their hard work and dedication in making a difference in the lives of Australians, 1 job at a time.
