Recently Jobfind and Angus Knight Institute sponsored and attended the Brimbank Careers Exploration Fair hosted by Future Connect.

The expo was an excellent opportunity to highlight our suite of employment services, including our Youth Engagement Strategy and tailored NDIS service.

Raf Matta, Youth Engagement Coach, Deepa Golani, DES & NDIS Manager (VIC) and Christos Vafeas, AKI RTO Trainer, joined nearly fifty exhibitors. They had a wonderful time interacting with the 1,000 Brimbank Secondary School students who visited the event.

Raf says it was great to participate in the event considering its cancellation in 2020 due to COVID.

“It was wonderful to see students accessing our stall and sharing their career goals with us. It was also a brilliant experience collaborating with AKI and talking about our services to the young participants who attended the event.”

“I am so pleased with the turnout and so happy to know that every young person in Brimbank today knows more about who we are and what we do.”

Jobfind and Angus Knight Institute have also backed the Future Connect App for School Leavers to further our commitment to providing access to meaningful, long-term employment for young job seekers. The app has been specifically designed for young people and covers career exploration, further education, advice on entering the workforce, financial and agency support and much more.

Future Connect is one of 31 Local Learning and Employment Networks across the State and is funded by State Government. Future Connect aims to broker sustainable partnerships between schools, business/industry, community groups and parents to improve educational outcomes for young people.

Our app sponsorship will help young participants within the Brimbank and Melton community access the next steps for a successful career pathway.
