Earthwize Cleaning – A Champion of Ethical Employment
Earthwize Cleaning, a Melbourne-based company that offers ethical, chemical-free commercial cleaning services to organisations across Melbourne. Earthwize’s dedication to both environmentally conscious business practices and its ongoing support of jobseekers, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, sets them apart as a leader in ethical employment.
As part of their commitment to giving back, Earthwize partners with Reforest to support meaningful environmental action. Through this partnership, they plant one tree for every new employee hired, and one additional tree each year on the anniversary of loyal team members—honouring their people while restoring the planet. This initiative reflects the company’s broader mission: to support both their community and the environment in everything they do.
The partnership between Jobfind and Earthwize began when Director and Co-Founder Eduardo Weisinger reached out to Jobfind’s Recruitment Consultant, Danielle Le Couteur after learning about Jobfind’s values. Since then, they have worked hand-in-hand to provide valuable employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to work, leveraging wage subsidies to build the business and create jobs for those who might otherwise struggle to find employment.
Today, Earthwize employs a total of 11 staff, 10 of whom are Jobfind participants. Their commitment to offering opportunities for mature-age jobseekers and those who have faced challenges such as domestic violence, past drug issues, or extended periods of unemployment is truly remarkable. Through this partnership, many Jobfind participants have thrived achieving impressive outcomes, including 5 participants having reached and surpassed the 52 week (a year) milestone and the remainder achieving 26-week (6 month) placements.
One of the key reasons Earthwize was selected for this award is their dedication to open communication with Jobfind’s team. They proactively alert the team to any personal challenges a participant may face. This enables the Jobfind team to tailor their post placement support to ensure the participants to remain in employment and succeed in the long term. Regular check-ins and constructive feedback from Earthwize provide participants with the necessary support to grow and build sustainable careers.
Danielle Le Couteur, who nominated Earthwize for the award, shared: “Many of the people Eduardo has employed have a story to tell—domestic violence, past drug issues, never worked in Australia, or have been unemployed for years. Earthwize has been the lifeline so many have needed to establish themselves in work, and no one really leaves.”
The ethos of Earthwize closely aligns with Jobfind’s mission, and this partnership has provided numerous jobseekers with a second chance. Earthwize’s unwavering support has helped many individuals rebuild their lives and careers, truly making them an employer that makes a difference.
Core Traffic Management – Providing Second Chances and Career Growth
Core Traffic Management, a company that has established a strong and successful partnership with Jobfind since 2023. Specialising in traffic management services for the rail, construction, civil/utility works and public events industries. Core Traffic Management has had a lasting, positive impact on the lives of many Jobfind participants.
Over the course of this partnership, 43 Jobfind participants have found employment with Core Traffic Management. Notably, 32 participants achieved a full 4-week outcome, 29 reached a 12-week milestone and 19 completed a full 26-week outcome. These figures speak volumes about Core Traffic’s commitment to providing opportunities and second chances to individuals who have faced significant challenges, such as involvement in the justice system and vocational barriers.
Core Traffic Management stands out for their inclusive, welcoming approach to employment. The company’s owners are known for their down-to-earth attitude, creating a work environment that encourages growth and trust. Unlike many employers, Core Traffic does not require police checks, which opens doors for individuals who might be overlooked elsewhere due to their past. This decision reflects their belief that everyone deserves a chance to rebuild their life and career, regardless of their history. It’s this open-mindedness that truly sets them apart as an employer who values potential over past mistakes.
This inclusive and supportive approach aligns closely with Jobfind’s mission to give individuals facing barriers to employment a path forward. Core Traffic has been instrumental in helping these jobseekers not only secure positions but also develop valuable skills for the industry, laying the groundwork for long-term careers in traffic management. Their genuine commitment to second chances ensures that participants don’t just get a job—they get the tools they need to build a future.
