Recently some of our staff headed back to school to attend the Eastern Ranges School Expo in Ferntree Gully, Victoria.
Deepa Golani, DES & NDIS Manager (VIC) and Kathryne Zietsman, NDIS Consultant at Pakenham, met with students and other community service providers.
Deepa says many young jobseekers and their families aren’t aware they can access NDIS funding for a variety of employment supports.
“Providing employment supports is what we do best, and connecting with young, future job seekers to provide them with support accessed via NDIS can greatly assist their ability to transition into the workforce and to become job-ready.”
Eastern Ranges School provides education for children with an autism spectrum disorder and an associated intellectual disability, language disorder, and complex learning needs across the Foundation Year 12 age range.
The offering provides Employment Supports to eligible NDIS participants, including access to higher education and foundation training in the Greater Melbourne area.
